1.Introduction Earthy-musty odor is one of the most serious problems in aquaculture.It is caused by 2-methylisoborneol (2-MIB) and/or trans-1,10-dimethyl-trans-9-decalo (geosmin), which is produced by phytoplankton and/or actinomycetes.
