The role of glucose in biodegradation of pyridine and quinoline
Introduction Biodegradations of pyridine and quinoline initialize with mono-oxygenation required molecular oxygen (O2) and intracellular electron donor (2H) as shown in Figure 1.It is well known that increasing 2H could accelerate pyridine and quinoline biodegradation, which suggests that 2H plays an important role for accelerating the biodegradation.According to our previous experiments, pyridine and quinoline were accelerated, when electron donors were added, but the donors and substrates were simultaneously added.
