Removal mechanism and antifouling performance of graphene oxide modified PVDF membrane for filtration of organic matter

1.Background and methods GO sheets with a one-atom-layer-thick structure and abundant oxygen-containing functional groups were widely used in the field of membrane surface modification.The GO sheets were grafted on the membrane surface could effectively increase the hydrophilicity of modified membrane, and thus resulted in a weakened adhesion force between the contaminants and the membrane surface and exhibit good fouling resistance.
