Introduction p-Nitrophenol (PNP, C6HsNO3) is an important representative of recalcitrant compounds whose biodegradation is initialized with a series of reactions required electrons, which is shown in Figure 1.Obviously, adding endogenous or exogenous electron donors could accelerate PNP biodegradation.
