Discussion on land reclamation and ecological restoration of mining wasteland based on a public recreation perspective
Besides reclamation of such normal lands as farmland, forest land, grassland, etc., urban parks, country recreation sites, outdoor theaters, theme parks and various exercise and fitness sites may be constructed on many mining wastelands so as to satisfy various outdoor recreation demands of the public.Therefore, how to eliminate environmental pollution, ensure geological security and recover natural ecology and simultaneously realize the potential public recreation value of mining wasteland reclamation to the maximum extent are key problems in mining wasteland reclamation works.In this paper, main types of domestic and foreign public recreation-guided landscape reconstructions on mining wastelands are summarized through case study.Then, existing disadvantages and main challenges in current mining land reclamation works in China are analyzed.Finally, some suggestions and prospects are proposed in allusion to more economical, high-efficient and sustainable mining wasteland reclamation and landscape reconstruction based on public recreation perspective.
