Formation mechanisms and characteristics of ground collapse during shallow coal seam mining
Shallow seam mining is the main way that resources are extracted from Shenfu mining area.As a result, ground collapse induced by coal mining is very serious in this area, leading to serious damage to water resources, the eco-environment, buildings, and casualties Taking the Shenfu coal mining area as an example, this article classifies and summarizes the characteristics of different kinds of ground collapse and their basic characteristics.According to the morphological characteristics, ground collapses can be subdivided into six types, namely collapse crater, collapse slot, crack, collapse basin, loess collapse, and loess landslide.Besides, three types of collapse caused by coal mining, fully-mechanized coal mining subsidence,room-and-pillar ground collapse, and other kinds of mining subsidence, are divided based on the relationship between ground collapse and the method of coal mining.Whats more, the mechanisms of ground collapse formation in the case of fully-mechanized longwall and room-and-pillar mining are discussed.
