Study on Adsorption of Pb2+by Aminosilane Coupling Agent Modified Illite

  The experiment studies on the adsorption properties of heavy metal Pb2+ by the coupling agent modified illite, such as the effects of reaction temperature, reaction pH, reaction time and the amount of adsorbent on the adsorption performance of Pb2+.These were investigate d respectively.The results showed that the removal efficiency of 0.125g modified illite to 50mL, Pb2+ concentration of 150mg/L was 66% and the equilibrium adsorption capacity of qe was 39.8mg/g, at the temperature of 298K, pH 5.0 and adsorption time of 2h, compare to illite ore itself increase by 300%.The adsorption kinetics and thermo dynamics of the process were studied,the adsorption reaction was in accordance with the kinetic second-order equation (R2 =0.999) and adsorption thermodynamics could be described by the Langmuir model.
