Preparation and Functional Finishing of La-Gd / ZnO Nanorods on Cotton Fabrics surface

  In this paper, La-Gd/ZnO nanorods arrays were grown on the surface of cotton fabric by low temperature hydrothermal method with zinc nitrate and hexamethylenetetramine as raw materials, polyethylene glycol 2000 as the topography control agent.The prepared samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, UV-siv and other test methods.The analysis results showed that, 3% La-3% Gd/ZnO nanorod array modified cotton fabric showed good photocatalytic and anti-ultraviolet properties.The UPF of cotton fabric modified by La-Gd/ZnO nanorods increased from 10.06 to 420.21.Under UV irradiation for 150min and under solar light for 8h, the degradation of MB with La-Gd/ZnO nanorods coated cotton fab-ric was 92.15% and 87.59% respectively.
