Theoretical Deduction and Experimental Argumentation of Peak Value of Impact Acceleration
This paper deduces the mathematical model of peak acceleration generated by collision between rigid cylinder and elastic half space body in Hertz Contact Theory, and, based on the impact test results of different gasket materials with HALL-1 High Acceleration Impact Instrument for Microelectronic Devices curve fit the relationship between peak acceleration and velocity, compare and analyze the acceleration error between deduction formula and fitting relation formula. In view of the influence of different frictional coefficients of the gasket materials elastomers, the deviation of the deductive formula is corrected. The results show that the error is mainly affected by different friction conditions between the gasket materials, and between the gasket material and the impact body. After modification, the relative error of peak acceleration between Hertz theoretical deduction and experimental fitting can be reduced to 10% and below, by testing block gasket materials or layering gasket materials with a smaller frictional coefficient (<0.2).
