From Curvature Theory to the Behaviour of Light on Homogeneous Surfaces
This contribution deals with the application of geometrical theories to the determination of shadows (rendering) on surfaces of primitive and/or non-orientable solids. The geometrical aspect of the chiaroscuro phenomenon (shading) is part of the application of Descriptive Geometry whose study solves metric problems and determines particular geometrical measures that are important from the practical aspect in the design stage.
