Teaching Geometry Inspired by the Codex Atlanticus of Leonardo da Vinci

We frequently look for non traditional ways to introduce students to Mathematics.In particular we involve aspects of Art and Architecture, starting from the artistic heritage of our region, to underline geometric results.We are members of the Educational Laboratory FDS—Mathematics Department—Politecnico di Milano (http://fds.mate.polimi.it/) and we usually meet school teachers to discuss methods and develop new teaching strategies.
