Electrospun Flexible 3D Co3O4-doped Carbon Nanofibers Material for CO2 Adsorption and Supercapacitors Electrodes
Currently, highly porous and flexible carbon nanofibers(CNFs) development for multifunctional applications is very critical.Developing such CNFs would open a new era of multifunctional energy storage and CO2 adsorption.Herein, we report porous and flexible with robust mechanical properties electrospun CNFs doped with Co3 O4 nanoparticles(CNFs-Co).It was discovered from results that CNFs-Co possessed not only comparatively higher surface area of 483 m2/g but also offered tunable porous structure exhibiting high CO2 adsorption capacity of 5.4 mmol/g at 1 bar and room temperature.Additionally, electrochemical measurements performed on these CNFs-Co for supercapacitors showed very high capacitance up to 911 F/g at 5 mV/s(76% capacitance retention after 1 000 cycles), in 1 M H2SO4 solution. The successful synthesis of such hybrid membrane may also provide new insights and development of various multifunctional application.
