Performance of Three Dimension Woven Fabric Filters in a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) for Wastewater Treatment
In this paper, different pore sized nylon cloth as filters in coagulation bioreactor process was evaluated for wastewater treatment compared with a novel filter woven by 3D woven structure. In order to see the morphology structure effect on the performance of woven fabric filters, the flux decline profiles and water quality were measured in the short term filtration. The high porosity 3D filter has total amount of treated water about 1.4 times as much as the 2D filter, respectively. The fouling analysis shows that the 3D filter with lower tightness shows main penetration of foulants based on protein while the 2D filter has fouled severely by coexist element of foulants in pores.
