Influence of Cryogenic Treatment to the Mechanical and Electrical Properties for Carbon Nanotube Yarn
Cryogenic was used to treat specimen by a temperature process control method and quenching method.Untreated sample was compared with cryogenic treatment in order to evaluate the treatments effects on mechanical and electrical properties of the CNT fiber.This relatively simple and environmentally friendly cryogenic treatment resulted in the change of the properties.Differences in the surface morphology of treated and untreated CNT fiber were observed using SEM photograph.Raman testing indicated that cryogenic treated have not damage the nano-tubes in the CNT fiber.
