The Optimizing of Hemp Degumming Pretreatment and its Influence on Fiber Components

  In the trend of ecological textiles, the degumming of hemp fibers which own a range of special properties needs to be modified.In order to improve the efficiency and reduce the burden of degumming, some pretreatments has to be conducted.In this paper, four different pretreatments are discussed: diluted acid pretreatment, diluted alkali prctreatmcnt, oxidation pretreatment and ultrasonic pretreatment.A series of experiments are conducted based on the different parameters of each pretreatment and the colloids residual rate act as the standard to measure the effect of the four pretreatments.After screen out the best parameters of each pretreatment, the chemical composition includes pectin, hemi-celluloses and lignin are measured to find out the specific effect in different composition of the four pretreatments.We found out the most comprehensive way is diluted alkali pretreatment: concentration of sulfuric acid 4 g/L, temperature 55 ℃,liquor/sample ratio 1∶15, 90 min.
