The Study on Comparative Performance of PPT and PET

　　In order to further optimize spinning process of PTT and provide theoretical basis for improving the quality of PTT, different specifications of PTT and PET were designed.The morphology of PTT and PET,tensile properties, elastic recovery properties, thermal properties and boiling-water shrinkage at different temperatures were analyzed.The results showed that PTT fiber has good appearance morphology, elongation at break and elastic recovery rate.PTT fiber has a glass transition temperature of 48 ℃, a melting temperature of 230 ℃, an initial decomposition temperature of 350 ℃ and a half life of temperature of 410 ℃.Boiling-water shrinkage of PTT fiber performance is opposite bigger.So PTT fiber owns good elasticity recovery, thermal stability and dimension stability in the process of processing and use, which is also in line with the requirements of melt spinning.
