A General Strategy for 1D Nanocrystals with Precisely Controlled Dimension,Composition and Architecture
Recent research has witnessed tremendous advances in isotropic nanomaterials synthesis, which has provided access to a large array of nanoparticles with controlled size, shape and functionality.Going beyond simple zero-dimensional nanoparticles, owing to their intriguing architecture and unique optical, electrical, magnetic, and catalytic properties, the ability to synthesize a diverse spectrum of one-dimensional (1D) nanocrystals such as nanorods, nanotubes, nanowires, and shish-kebab-like heterostructures presents an enticing prospect for exploring their size and shape-dependent properties.
