Colorless Polyimide Films with High Tg Based on Polyalicyclic Dianhydrides

Polyimide films prepared from polyalicyclicdianhydrides and aromatic diamines have much attention due to their high-temperature stability and high transparency in the visible region.Recently we reported the alicyclic polyimides prepared from the dianhydrides having alkanonebisspironorbomane structure 1,2.In the case of thermal imidizaton the film quality and the polymerization degree of the resulting polyimides were strongly influenced by curing temperature.The preparation of a flexible polyimide film requires a high temperature process around Tg(ca.350 ℃).
