Carbonyl and Sulfone Groups Co-crosslinked Sulfonated Polyimide Proton Exchange Membranes and Their Fuel Cell Performance
Proton exchange membrance fuel cell (PEMFC) is a promising energy device that continuously converts chemical energy into electric energy. The proton exchange membrance (PEM) is one of the key components in PEMFC.The state-of-the-art perfluorosulfonic polymer membranes such as Nafion(R) have excellent properties of high proton conductivity and chemical stability. However, there are some disadvantages such as low operation temperature and high fuel permeability limited their further application 1.Studies foucused on developing alternative PEMs based on sulfonated aromatic polymers have attracted much interesting.
