Ethylene Polymerization by Arylimidozirconium Complexes
Recently the zirconium complexes bearing anilidate,1 azaallyl2 and diketiminato3 ligands have been extensively explored and partly used to polymerize.Interestingly these polyethylenesposses highly linear feature to ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylenes.Subsequently imidozirconium complexes have been considered, the newarylimidozirconiumcomplexes are synthesized herein.Their molecular structures illustrated the heterometallicarylimido zirconium-lithium complexes due to adducts of cationic lithium and solvent.On activation with co-catalyst MAO, thearylimido zirconium complex exhibited good catalytic activities toward ethylene polymerization and produced linear polyethylenes.
