CoO@PPy Nanowire Arrays on Ni Foam for High-Performance Supercapacitor
A new core-shell nanostructure of CoO@PPy nanowire arrays (NAs) was designed and directly grown on a 3D nickel foam by a simple two step method.When used as an electrochemical supercapacitor electrode material, the CoO@PPy delivers a highly improved specific capacitance of 851 F·g-1 at a current density of 1.0 A·g1, compared with that of CoO (310 F·g1).The performances of CoO@PPy electrode material can also be optimized by carefully tailoring the amount of each ingredient CoO and PPy in the nanocomposites, which implied that CoO@PPy has great potential application in high-performance energy storage devices.
