POLYMERIC PHOSPHORUS-CONTAINING FLAME RETARDANTS IN EPOXY RESINS

　　This presentation is focused on two different kinds of phosphorus-containing polymers:1.Phosphorus containing compounds based on novolacs 2.Phosphorus containing polymers with a melamine backbone We present chemical syntheses of phosphorus containing monomers and polymers with different chemical environment around phosphorus and discuss the flame retardant efficiency in epoxy resins as well as the interaction with the polymeric matrix.
