FLAME RETARDANCY PROPERTY OF POLYISOCYANURATE AFTER THERMAL TREATMENT

  In this work, polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam after different thermal treatment was characterized by microscale combustion colorimeter.It was found that the first peak heat release rate decreased and the second peak heat release rate increased.The temperature to peak heat release rate increased.The heat release temperature range expanded.TGA-FTIR-MS was used to identify the degradation products.Based on the results, it was speculated that isocyanurate group was benefited to increase the flame retardancy.
