HIGH EFFICIENCY INTUMESCENT FLAME RETARDANT COATING ON PP SURFACE

摘要：

　　A new type of intumescent flame retardant coating, consisting of a kind of innovative char forming agent synthesized in the lab, film former, and additives, was formed on polypropylene (PP) specimens to improve their flame retardancy (FR).It can be vertified that the optimum thickness of the coating is 126 μm.In this case, superior flame retardancy of PP was gained,UL94 test passing VO rating and the LOI value being up to 30.5%.More importantly, there is no remarkable effects on its mechanical property.
