A NOVEL HIGHLY-EFFICIENT CHARRING AGENT FOR EVA/APP INTUMESCENT FLAME RETARDANT SYSTEM

  A highly-efficient charring agent named as poly (piperazinyl phosphamide) (PPPA) was synthesized, and its char residue under nitrogen and air atmosphere at 600 ℃ was as high as 45.3 wt% and 51.6 wt%, respectively.The PPPA could efficiently facilitate the formation of intumescent char layer in EVA/APP, resulting in the great improvement of its flame retardation.
