THE FLAME RETARDANT SILK FABRIC TREATED BY A NOVEL PHOSPHOROUS CONTAINED DYE

  This article is to introduce a novel laboratory synthesized dye containing phosphorus as flame retardant to be applied onto silk fabric.And investigated the flame retardancy property, thermal property of silk was characterized by Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Micro combustion calorimetry (MCC).The paper also studied the color fastness, breaking strength of dyes silk fabric.The results indicated that the limiting oxygen index of dyed silk fabric with certain durability increased with the increase of dye concentration.The synthesized dye brought some effects on reducing the heat release capacity and total heat release,increasing the residual char.Meanwhile, the treated silk fabric still has soft handle and luster.
