Development of a remote monitoring system applied in digital oilfield
In order to enhance the production process controllability of oilfield, a remote real-time monitoring system based on the technology of internet of things is constructed and developed in this paper. The ZigBee wireless networks are first established to gather the data of oil-extraction process parameters (liquid production volume, oil-water ratio, oil temperature, etc.) for each oil well or oil extraction platform, where the data are initially collected by the sensors allocated on it.Then, through the connection of Zigbee networks with General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) mobile network, the above gathered data are transmitted to the oilfield information center in time through the wireless way. These data are stored in the background database of oilfield. Finally, an information system with B/S structure is designed, and the real-time changes in oil extraction process can be remotely monitored by the users. Thus, the problem of deficiency in oilfield monitoring under conventional condition is overcome, and the monitoring accuracy and its real-time performance are improved. The developed system has been applied to Daqing oilfield of China, and it has achieved satisfactory practical results. The effectiveness of presented method and technology is verified.
