Effects of Biochar on the Emissions of CO2 and N2O from Tea Plantation Soil
Previous studies have demonstrated the impacts of biochar on the emissions of CO2 and N2O from soil in response to many factors, such as biochar properties (species and temperature), vegetation types, climate conditions, soil types, nutrient contents, and utilization years.Tea plantations is the major land use type in southern hilly areas of China.Several reports (Wu et al., 2012;Xie et al., 2013) have focused on the utilization of biochar in tea plantations for the improvement of soil acidification. However, the information by which biochar effected the emissions of CO2 and N2O from soil has been unclear, which would be investigated via incubation experiments in this paper.
