Tissue Specificity Express Analysis of Theanine Metabolism Pathway Related Genes in Camellia Sinensis

Theanine is a import non-protein animo acid in the tea plant, which have 1-2% of the total dry matter approximately in the tea leaves.Theanine synthetase (TS) is a key enzyme involved in theanine biosynthesis. In our recent study, it has been revealed that theanine biosynthesis derived from nitrogen metabolism in tea (Camellia sinensis) plants and show a different spatio-temporal pattern. So CsTSs genes and some related genes in the nitrogen absorption and transport pathway would been collected and then the expression pattern in ten different tea tissues were detected through Real-time PCR.
