Agrochemicals Uses in Tea Plantations of Northeast India and the Way Forward
Agrochemicals are constantly under the scanner today in view of ever increasing health and environmental concerns.A number of agrochemicals are used in tea fields;some to enhance productivity and others for crop protection.Both contributed their might in tea production.The fertilizer recommendations evolved over the years emphasizing balanced nutrition and are based on yield and soil status.Since prolonged monoculture leads to considerable changes in the tea fields, managing soil health is a formidable task to ensure productivity, profitability and production target.
