Effect of Membrane Filters with Different Textures on Determination of Catechins and Alkaloids of Tea by HPLC
In the determination of a substance (or substances) in samples by HPLC, the sample solutions are supposed to be filtered through 0.45 μm or 0.22μm membrane filters prior to analysis with the purpose of elimination of undissolved particles.Membrane filters,including nylon 66 filters (NL 66), mixed cellulose ester filters (MCE), polyether sulfone filters (PES), polytetrafluoroethylene filters (PTFE), polyvinylidene fluoride filters (PVDF) and so on, can be generally divided into 3 kinds: organic membrane filter, aquo membrane filter and universal membrane filter.
