Food-grade Macroporous Resins Selection for Adsorption and Desorption Theaflavins of Black Tea Extraction via Green Chemistry Methods

Black tea is highly popular beverage globally.Recent studies have shown that black tea contains components that posses antioxidant, antifatigue and anticarcinogenic activities.The effects are ascribed to an abundance of theaflavins, which could be separated from black tea.A mixture of theaflavins such as theaflavin (TF),theaflavin-3-gallate (TF-3-G), theaflavin-3-gallate (TF-3-G), theaflavin-3, 3-gallate (TF-3, 3-G) is obtained by black tea extraction solvent extraction, and their separation is usually achieved by reverse phase chromatography.
