Enantiomeric Analysis of Linalool in Teas Using Headspace Solid Phase Microextraction (HS-SPME) with Enantioselective Gas Chromatography
Linalool (3, 7-dimetyl-1, 6-octadien-3-ol) is a terpene alcohol found in many plants with a floral aroma.It is an enantiomer monoterpene compound and occurs naturally as two isomeric optical forms (Figure 1), namely 3R-(-)-Linalool and 3S-(+)-Linalool, but they exhibit the entirely different not only sensorial properties, but also the physiological and psychological effects.
