Thermal Degradation Behaviors of Blends of Poly(phenylene sulfide) and Poly(ether imide)
Poly(ether imide) (PEI) is an amorphous high performance engineering plastic with superior thermal and mechanical properties.1 Poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) is a semicrystalline thermoplastic polymer with good mechanical properties, high temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance.2 Blending of PEI with PPS is an interesting route to combine the complementary properties of both ingredients such as good mechanical properties, ease of processing and excellent chemical resistance, and binary blends of PEI and PPS has been studied in a lot of papers.
