Ethylene oligomerization by the aza-phenanthrolinylbinuclear nickel halides

摘要：

Since the discovery of α-diimine complexes by Brookhart1, many kinds of nickel complexes were prepared for ethylene polymerization2, both oligomers and polymers can be achieved by the α-diimine complexes3,4.a series of new 2,9-phenanthrolinyl nickel halides which can be regarded as some α-diimine binuclear complexes in which the two metal centers are connected by a rigid backbone were synthesized.All nickel complexes performed with high activities towards ethylene oligomerization, when activated with co-catalyst either MAO or Me2AlCl.
