A Brief Study on the Research of Peer Review of EFL Writing at Home and Abroad
Writing has always been the most difficult task for the EFL learners. Teachers and researchers make great efforts to find effective strategy to enhance the learners writing ability. Teachers using peer review as a method to facilitate EFL teaching started several decades ago. In recent years, with the development of technology and the combination of diversified disciplines such as computer science and psychology, peer review is playing a more important and practical role in EFL teaching and researching. This study reviews 25 articles published in the past eight years in the authoritative journals in China and U.S. By reviewing the articles, the author tries to find the trend of the development of peer review study and the feasibility of applying the strategy in Chinese college EFL writing classroom.
