　　In William Styrons successful debut novel Lie Down in Darkness,multiple points of view embedded in the framework of Peytons funeral are combined with initial narrotology and mythological narratology.This enhances the novels narratological levels and enriches the novels themes.It effectively presents Peytons personal tragedy and social tragedy after World War Two and helps establish William Styrons status in American literature.
