Evaluation of the First Part of Unit One in New Standard College English, Book One

摘要：

　　English classes for non-English major students at Chinese universities are usually large,which is challenging for the teachers.Good materials can help overcome this problem,to some extent.This paper attempts to evaluate a part of a college English coursebook,New Standard College English using five criteria of Tomlinsons,and discuss some possible ways of adaptation.
