Cohesion Theory and Its Application in College English Reading

摘要：

　　This paper attempts briefly to probe into cohesion theory and exemplify some basic concepts of cohesion theory,and introduces the relation between cohesion and college reading,indicating the importance of cohesion in the process of understanding the text.It also discusses the application of cohesion theory in college reading and expounds that the final objective is to train students to grasp cohesive devices so that they can improve their reading ability.
