The Foregrounding in the Journalistic English for Entertainment

　　Foregrounding,one of the most important concepts in Stylistics,was borrowed from painting,contrasted with backgrounding,automation and convention.In the light of this theory,compared with other parts in the text,some parts could attract readers attention well and emerge prominent effect due to their distinguishing features.They are incongruity and deflection.The journalistic English for entertainment draws peoples attention by the reporting styles and the prompt reporting without delay.This research attempts to make the analysis of journalistic English with the theory of foregrounding in order to enable English learners to master authentic impression of English and to enhance comprehensive ability.
