Mysterious Sarah:On Movie Adaption of The French Lieutenants Woman

摘要：

　　The novel The French Lieutenants Woman,written by British novelist John Robert Fowles,was adapted into movie script by British dramatist Harold Pinter,who won Nobel Literature Prize.There are both similarities and differences between the two editions.This article is to criticize and analyze the merits and demerits of adaption on the structure,characters,ending and other adaption possibilities.
