A Study of Henry Jamess Spatial Narrative in The Portrait of a Lady
Currently,spatial narrative is a hot topic in the field of humanities and social sciences.The study of narrative is greatly influenced by environment and increasingly concerned about spatial issues.The portrait of a Lady is one of American famous novelist Henry Jamess masterpieces.This work is well structured with rich connotation and deeply describes the psychology of young women in 19th century.In this paper,the author desires to interpret the features and significance of spatial narrative of The Portrait of a Lady and endeavors to shed some light on the study of spatial narrative in literature.
