Study on the Local Structure in the Recorded Conversations between Unacquainted Collegians and Suggestions on Oral English Teaching in China
To enhance oral English ability is increasingly important for large numbers of English learners in China.The study on the local structure in collegians actual English conversations can assist teachers in adopting effective teaching methods in oral English classes.Using conversation analysis approach this paper tries to probe into the characteristics of the recorded 66 pairs of Chinese unacquainted collegians conversations from the perspectives of turn-taking,overlapping,interruption,repair and adjacency pair.Finally,seven teaching suggestions are presented for helping students interactions in English with unacquainted westerners.
