Study on the optimization method of energy storage configuration for new energy
New energy and renewable energy is the important source of the 21th century. However, wind and solar generation have adverse effects on power systems safety and stability, power quality, reliability, plannings of sources and power systems due to the variability and fluctuation.In this paper, we propose an optimization method of energy storage configuration for new energy. The method considers the energy storage battery power and capacity constraints, with the storage to the charging rate, charge-discharge times as the objective function,using point-by-point calculation method to calculate corresponding abandoned electric quantity, charge-discharge times of the energy storage. Finally the power and capacity optimal value of energy storage is obtained. The method has higher practical value for the design of energy storage configuration for new energy in engineering.
