Generation Dispatching Management of Small Hydropower Plants in CSG
As the dominant and most widespread distributed energy in China Southern Power Grid(CSG) area, Small hydropower contributes a lot to the power supply of local disticts, especially those remote rural districts. The basic situation and main characteristics of small hydropower plants in CSG are introduced in this paper. Problems existing in generation management of small hydropower plants such as local grid dynamic stability, power prediction difficulty and lack of generation data are discussed. To solved these problems, specific measures including statistic analysis based on survey, generation infomation collection, small hydropower OMS development and enhancement of operation management are adopted in the last five years in CSG. Effective results are proved from both grid security enhancement and small hydropower generation improvement, providing feasible and practical dispatching experiences to other small hydropwer abundent districts.
