Analysis of Blackout Character under the Typical Grid Structure

  With the development of the scale of domestic power grid interconnection, reasonable evaluation of the grid structure become an important problem to be solved in the power industry. In this paper, power failure model under different network structures was set up, from the perspective of self-organization critical features of power system to measure the security of the power grid structure. Power-law index which indicates the potential risk of loss of blackout was put forward. Using the proposed indicator on the Shandong power grid, the results show that grid structure directly affects the safe and stable operation of power system. And the scale of potential power outage is closely related to the compact degree of network connection.
