Survivability Assessment of Power Grid based on Modified Centrality
An approach related to the survivability assessment of each substation/bus in power grid is presented. It is derived from the graph-theoretic centrality whose basic concept, however, is modified by incorporating the practical electrical properties. The simulation reveals that the modified centrality indices can identify the ability of each substation/bus in power grid to survive when subjected to contingency such as load integration. The proposed approach to evaluate the survivability of the individual substation/bus in particular may benefit power grid planning and dispatch to determine the proper access point for the new load and operation pattern.
