Extended Application of Online Security and Stability Analysis System in Liaoning Power Grid

  With constant development of power grid, power grid security and stability analysis develops from offline to online mode gradually. The dispatching and control department at or above the provincial level in China have already deployed online security and stability analysis system. The system contains many functions such as static, transient, dynamic, voltage, frequency, small signal stability computing and short-circuit current computing. This paper analyzes the present situation of online security and stability analysis system at home and abroad. This paper proposes that online security and stability analysis system should be integrated with systems such as dispatching operation order, emergency command system, contingency plan management system, power grid risk assessment system and automatic generation control (AGC). It extends the application of online security analysis in Liaoning power grid dispatching system. Finally, this paper analyzes the necessity of integrating online security and stability analysis system into maintenance plan system, wind power and photovoltaic power control system, and dispatcher training system (DTS). The paper also envisages development on building online security and stability analysis integration computing platform and using PMU data to check online basic data.
