High Strength Steel: The Best Solution for Automotive Safety
Based on accident statistics from different countries,modern solutions to minimize the most common injuries in passenger vehicle crashesare described.A group of typical road accidents is presented along with detailed projects that can improve passenger safety through the use of advanced high strength steels.The designs are simple and representbest-in-class examples from the automotive industry.This work aims to inspire further development of this approach in order to reduce the fatalities and injuries that continue to represent a substantial liability for society.
