Research on the Microstructure and Properties of High-strength, Low-density, Light-weight Steel

  The mechanical and structure properties of steel through cold rolling and annealing were observed and analyzed in this paper.Cold-rolled Fe-Mn-Al steel has high tensile strength which is 1744MPa,but the elongation is low.After annealing at 850℃,the high hardness,poor ductility and toughness have been attained and fracture morphology is apparent cleavage fracture,with cracks along the grain boundaries.Within the range of 900~1050℃,the tensile strength of the annealed steel decreases with increasing temperature,and the elongation continues to increase.
